Just in Case…
Have you ever forgotten that God can do anything but fail? I have. How so? Well, when I complained about a situation or told everyone about my problems/frustrations before conversing with him… I forgot. God wants to be the first to know everything concerning us. I understand how easy it is to pick up the phone to call our spouse or dearest friend because we are so upset at that moment. Ignoring the real problem solver all the while. He already has the 411 before it is manifested naturally. Yet, he wants to hear about it from us.
There is nothing wrong with venting our frustrations to those close around us, but we must remain cognizant of our redeemer. I’m learning the freedom of truly releasing everything to him in our chats. I love the feeling of having a clear heart and knowing that all is well. God has my back. There is no PowerPoint presentation on steps to conversing with him. All you need to do is talk to him from your heart; including those secret hurts and pains you keep bottled up inside. Keep him first through prayer and reading the word. He is waiting on you.
” Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (NLT, Matthew 11:28)
Thank you for the reminder, Marion Weston.
